Along the way, they will have some great port calls in the Canadian Maritimes, Iceland, Greenland, and Northern Europe.
They will return to Boston in the middle of September, with many interesting stories, Im sure!
Yes, it s been a busy time here at Travel With Alan! I have to say that the cruise ship was a fantastic way to see Havana.
We were docked right in the city, within walking distance to many tourist sites, shopping, dining, and wonderful Cuban music!
The next day, one of our buses picked me up at the hotel in the early morning, and we made our way to the pier in Civitavecchia.
After some free time, we re-boarded our coaches and drove to a great restaurant for a huge Farewell Dinner, with lots of good Italian food and plenty of good Italian wine.On Sunday, I helped Paula and Dan load the buses in Seattle to go to Vancouver to board Holland America Lines ms Zaandam for yet another Alaska cruise/tour.Paula and Dan are with their group of 188 Travel With Alan travelers, sailing up the Inside Passage.I have to say, the ship looks greatlike a brand-new ship. We had all day yesterday, overnight, and all day today in Havana.Ive already run into two crew members that I knew from this and other NCL ships all those years ago. She has an extra friendly crew and the food and service are excellent. I spent the day visiting some of the hotels that we use for our land tours, to check them out for myself.
